Welcome to the Terms and Conditions (these “Terms”) for Adam (“the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). These Terms govern your access to and use of our application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using the App or the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the App or the Services.
For purposes of these Terms, “you” or “your” means you as the user of the Services. If you use the Services on behalf of a company or other entity, “you” includes both you and the entity, and you represent that you are authorized to bind the entity to these Terms.
1. Purpose of the Application
Adam is a personal automation assistant designed to help users manage and automate productivity-related tasks, including but not limited to email management (Gmail), calendar scheduling and event management, contact access, and personalized workflow automation (the “Services”). The Application is intended solely to assist users by executing actions in response to user-initiated commands.
All automated actions are performed only upon the user’s explicit instruction. Adam does not initiate, alter, or execute any action independently or without user authorization. You acknowledge and agree that the accuracy, reliability, and outcomes of automated actions depend on the instructions you provide, the data made available to the Application, and the functionality of integrated third-party services.
You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and approving all outputs and actions generated or executed through the Application, including but not limited to emails sent, calendar events created or modified, and contact-related actions. The Application does not provide professional, legal, medical, financial, or other regulated advice, and any reliance on automated outputs is at your own risk.
Certain features of the Application, including beta, experimental, or premium features, may be subject to additional terms, limitations, or requirements. By using the Application and the Services, you acknowledge and agree to these responsibilities and limitations.
2. Google Account Authorization
Adam uses Google OAuth to access certain Google services, strictly with your consent. Access to your Google account is only granted after you explicitly authorize the Application to do so. By granting such access, you acknowledge and agree that Adam may use the permissions solely to perform automation tasks that you have requested.
The Application may request access to the following Google services:
- Gmail: read, send, and modify emails
- Google Calendar: read and manage events
- Google Contacts: read-only access
These permissions are used exclusively to provide the features and functionality you have requested, and Adam will not access, store, or use your account data for any other purpose without your explicit consent. You may revoke access at any time through your Google Account settings. You are solely responsible for ensuring that the permissions granted are used appropriately and in accordance with applicable laws and these Terms. Adam is not liable for any actions performed under your authorized account access, and you remain responsible for reviewing and verifying all automated actions performed by the Application.
3. User Responsibilities
By using Adam and the Services, you agree to comply with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations and to use the Application responsibly. You acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for:
- Providing accurate information during account creation, authentication, and any interaction with the Services. You represent that all information provided is truthful, complete, and up to date.
- Lawful use of the Application. You will not use Adam for any illegal, fraudulent, or unauthorized purpose. This includes, but is not limited to, violating applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights.
- Prohibition on misuse or abuse. You will not use the Application to send spam, unauthorized communications, or any automated actions that violate these Terms, third-party policies, or Google service agreements.
- Account security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your Google account credentials and for all actions performed through your authorized account. You agree to notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.
Failure to comply with these responsibilities may result in suspension, termination of access, or other remedies as outlined in these Terms.
4. Automation Disclaimer
Adam performs automated actions strictly based on user-provided commands and instructions. By using the Application, you acknowledge and agree that:
- The accuracy, reliability, and outcomes of all automated actions depend on the quality and completeness of the input you provide and the data available to the Application.
- You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and approving all automated outputs before relying on them, including but not limited to emails sent, calendar events created or modified, and contact-related actions.
- Adam is not liable for any unintended, inaccurate, or incomplete actions, including emails sent in error, incorrect calendar modifications, or any other outcomes resulting from automated tasks executed under your instructions.
- You accept that the Application is a productivity and automation tool only and does not provide professional, legal, medical, financial, or other regulated advice. Reliance on automated outputs is entirely at your own risk.
5. Access & Termination
Adam and the Services are provided subject to your compliance with these Terms and all applicable laws, rules, and third-party policies, including Google and Play Store policies. By using the Application, you acknowledge and agree that:
- We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Application or any part of the Services at any time, with or without notice, if:
- You violate these Terms;
- You breach Google, Play Store, or other third-party service policies; or
- Termination is required by law, regulation, or governmental authority.
- You may revoke the Application’s access to your Google account at any time via your Google Account settings. Revocation may limit or prevent the Application from performing automated actions and may affect your ability to use the Services.
- Suspension or termination of access may result in loss of data, content, or access to features, and we are not liable for any such loss.
6. Limitation of Liability
The Application and Services are provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. By using Adam, you acknowledge and agree that your use of the Application is at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- Adam and its affiliates, partners, and service providers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of data or content;
- Missed, delayed, or incorrect automated actions;
- Interruptions, errors, or unavailability of third-party services; or
- Any other damages resulting from your use or inability to use the Application.
- You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying all automated outputs generated by the Application before taking action.
- Our total liability to you, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, shall not exceed the amount you have paid for the Services in the six (6) months preceding the claim, if any.
- Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or willful misconduct as may be applicable under local law.
7. Changes to Terms
Adam reserves the right to modify, update, or revise these Terms at any time, with or without notice. Such changes may be made to reflect new features, changes in applicable law, improvements to the Application, or user feedback.
By continuing to access or use the Application or Services after any changes have been posted, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by the revised Terms. It is your responsibility to review the Terms periodically to stay informed of any updates.
If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must immediately discontinue use of the Application and Services.
